KARACHI - Department of Sports Government of Sindh will organise a tennis tournament to pay tributes to Pakistans tennis legend Saeed Hai at Karachi Gymkhana from November 27, it was announced at a media briefing held here Saturday. Department of Sports Government of Sindh has sponsored this prestigious national event will carry Rs 200,000 in prize money. Pakistans top players Aqeel Khan, Yasir Khan, Saba Aziz, Rasheed Malik and Nomi Qamer have already confirmed their participation the championships. Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh, Haleem Adil, Secretary Sports, Shoaib Siddiqui, SVP PTF Jamal Mirza and President Karachi Gymkhana Ali Rahim attended and addressed the media on the occasion. Adil Sheikh promised to provide a piece of land for Sindh Tennis Association. Shoaib Siddiqui praised Saeed Hai for his services to the sport. Jamal Mirza briefly stated the achievements of tennis legend Saeed Hai and Ali Rahim offered full support to this event. Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) and Pakistan Seniors Tennis Association (PSTA) will be co sponsors of the event which will be organised with the assistance of the STA. Last date of entry is November 23.
