OUR STAFF REPORTER MALAKWAL - The populace of Malakwal have demanded free issuance of birth and death certificates, saying that they were facing massive hurdles by the union council officials in this regard. The local people including Abdul Rauf, Iftikhar Ahmad, Muhammad Farooq and Amjad Ali have said that they were faced with many hurdles being created by secretaries of union councils. They alleged that they were forced to grease the officials palm to get birth and death certificates. The prolonged process to get the certificates was very crippling, they said, demanding a computerised system. They said that the secretaries of union councils demand exorbitant prices in the name of computerised print. They called upon the high ups to take notice of the matter and depute 'honest officials in all the UCs of the region.
