KARACHI – Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has rejected the government’s idea of banning cellphones and motorcycle riding and demanded that Karachi should be given under the Army control.  “In fact, government has failed to shoulder its responsibility of maintaining peace during Muharram,” said Allama Amin Shaheedi, deputy secretary general of the MWM while presiding over a meeting of his party at Wahdat House on Monday evening. Maulana Mukhtar Imami, Maulana Sadiq Raza Taqvi and other office bearers of the MWM Sindh and Karachi chapters attended the hurriedly-called meeting that discussed the overall situation in the wake of bomb blast.
