ISLAMABAD - In a bid to ensure foolproof security and maintain law and order in the federal capital during D-8 Summit and Muharram, Islamabad Police have taken various steps to enhance the security of Federal capital, especially Red-Zone area.
On the special directions of the Inspector General of Police Islamabad Bani Amin Khan, Islamabad police have enhanced the security of Red-Zone area due to D-8 Summit and Muharram ul Haram. In order to ensure security and to avert any untoward incident, entry of vehicles especially HTVs are strictly prohibited from November 19 to November 25 in the Red-Zone Area. Moreover, entrance of general public in the area is also restricted.
The construction work on different key installations located in said area has also been stopped till November 25. Inspector General of Police Bani Amin Khan has appealed general public to cooperate with police to ensure foolproof security and regretted for any inconvenience faced by them while ensuring elaborate arrangements.
