Federal Interior Minister Rehman A. Malik Tuesday said the terrorist activities scaled down in Quetta following the imposition of bans on motorcycles and mobile phone services.
Talking to media after appearing before the Supreme Court’s bench hearing Balochistan law and order case here, he said the Frontier Corps (FC), not the army, has been deployed in Sui that is meant to protect people and vital installations.
Malik said Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and Baloch Republican Army (BRA) are involved in landmine explosions in Sui.
At least 60,000 non-custom paid vehicles have been identified countrywide, Malik noted adding the deadline of December 1st has been set for custom payment, after which the vehicles will be impounded.
