CHARSADDA - Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan Thursday criticized the Punjab and Sindh governments for using police and administration to win local government elections.

FIRs were registered against PTI's nominees in both provinces, Imran said. "I have been named in an FIR in Mianwali district," he said this while speaking at a huge public gathering in Charsadda on Thursday.

Instead of criticizing the army for identifying flaws in their system, the federal government should improve governance in the country, he said.

Army did not mention KPK because the provincial government has already performed well than other provinces.

The KP Ehtisab Commission, Imran Khan said had arrested several corrupt persons, including one PTI minister and added that the commission is to arrest more corrupt persons.

The PTI would not allow Nawaz's government to privatise government institutions because it is being done for making profits, he alleged.

He said, "KP government had asked the federal government to handover the power production and distribution to provincial government but they didn't. If the federal government handovers the power generation and distribution to KP, we will show them how to stop power theft and make it a profitable entity." The rulers had changed the route of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) for their personal gains and KP and Balochistan were ignored in the CPEC by diverting the route, he said adding that sense of grievance of the smaller provinces could be addressed by following the original route of the project.

He was of the view that PTI wanted rule of law and justice and if the country's founders had not built it for providing justice to all citizens then ANP's late leader Abdul Ghaffar Khan's support for the united India was justified.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said that there was no corruption in the province and corrupt culture has been eradicated.

He said that merit-based system was introduced in the province. He said law and order has been restored in the province and police is free from political interference.

He said that PTI government has increased salaries of government employees and would continue do so in future.
