Raisani resigns from PML-N

QUETTA: Balochistan leader, and brother of former Chief Minister of Balochistan Aslam Raisani, Lashkari Raisani has resigned from Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), saying that PML-N is rewarding only one province and the federal government has failed to resolve the missing persons’ case in Balochistan.

Raisani said that PML-N has become a party of one province only instead of the federation. He said that none of the promises made to the people of Balochistan were fulfilled by the government in 2 and half years and all the matters have kept limited to the Murree agreement. He said that the PML-N neither brought any legislation for Balochistan during its 2 and half years nor did it take any measures for the recovery of the missing persons.

“I thought that PML-N was doing the politics of federation and would do something for Balochistan on emergency basis but it is sad to note that PML-N has completely failed to delegate the powers to the provinces and resolution of the other problems”, said Raisani.

Raisani said that PML-N’s attitude is that of a provincial party and not that of a federal party. He said that he has sent his resignation to the central leadership of the party and will decide about the future course of action after consulting friends and comrades.
