UPPER DIR: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, on Thursday, directed the authorities to distribute relief cheques in quake affected areas by 25th of this month.

The Prime Minister has said that he did not leave the victim of disaster alone for even a moment.

Nawaz Sharif was addressing quake affected people at Panakot in Upper Dir where he also distributed cheques among them. He assured quake affected people that the Federal Government would take every possible step to mitigate their sufferings and help them stand on their own feet. He also announced an electricity line of 132 kilowatt in Upper Dir area. PM attended a briefing about the damages caused by earthquake and rehabilitation process.

Under the package, Rs 600,000 will be given to the family of each deceased and Rs 100,000 to each injured person. Similarly, Rs 200,000 will be given to the one who lost his limb or any other body part in the disaster.

The Prime Minister said that Rs 200,000 would also be given for the construction of completely damaged houses while Rs 100,000 each for the partially damaged houses.

He further distributed cheques to the victims so that they can rebuild their houses.

Nawaz Sharif lauded the national and provincial disaster management authorities, KP government and Pak Army for immediately carrying out smooth relief operation.
