Armed forces ready to challenge all challenges: Air chief

MULTAN-Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman has said that Pakistan is faced with multiple challenges and the armed forces will continue playing a proactive role for maintaining peace.
Addressing first convocation of Air University here at Bakhtawar Amin Hospital’s auditorium on Saturday, the Air Chief declared that the nation stands united in the war against terrorism. He said that the armed forces would give matching response to the enemy in case of any external aggression.
He said that the space centre being set up by the Air University would be a unique facility in the entire South Asia. He lauded the role of Air University in lifting the quality of education, saying the varsity offers high quality education to the students, which includes courses like MSC Computer Sciences, Aerospace Engineering and Business Administration. “Besides this, we have vocational training centres where deserving and poor students are offered free technical education,” he pointed out. He said that 30 likewise centres were functional alone in KPK where students are being imparted free technical education to enable them play role in the development of the country in future.
He stressed upon the technical experts working abroad to return to the country and contribute their share for its development by sharing their skills with others.
The Air Chief declared that the construction of Air University Multan campus would begin next year and land for this purpose has been allocated. He appreciated the passion of the students and said that the way they faced problems at current was laudable.
The Vice Chancellor of the varsity Faiz Ameer and Registrar Muhammad Salim also spoke on the occasion.
