ISLAMABAD - Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said Sunday that ruling party was not removing Finance Minister Ishaq Dar because the ‘Sharif Mafia’ was scared that he would spill the beans on alleged money laundering done by him for the family.

Imran, in a tweet, called Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi a puppet of Pakistan Muslim League-N President Nawaz Sharif, and criticised him for not removing Dar.  He said, “Sharif mafia's front man and absconder from justice is facing multiple charges of corruption and money laundering”.

Meanwhile, PTI spokesman Fawad Chaudhry said Sunday that Prime Minister Abbasi was not allowed to terminate the services of his private personal servant so how he could remove federal finance minister. In a statement on Sunday Fawad Chaudhry said government was not completing its term in office but was spending the compulsory period of ‘Iddah’((Waiting period for a widow)).

He said in fact Nawaz Sharif was running the government.

Fawad said he would award 10 million rupees to a person who would tell the real name of prime minister and finance minister.

“Nawaz terms each and every question a conspiracy and does not disclose the conspirators.”

He questioned how Rs30,000 had landed in his account.
