No violations committed by Pakistan: Afghan Gen

KABUL: A top Afghan commander of the border protection police forces in the East has rejected reports suggesting that the Pakistani forces have violated the border.

The commander of the 1st Brigade of the border protection police forces Gen. Mohammad Ayoub Hussain Khel said no Pakistani soldier has moved inside the Afghan soil, Khaama press reported.

Speaking to reporters in Nangarhar, Gen. Hussain Khel said the border protection forces are on alert and will not allow anyone to move inside the Afghan territory.

He said the rocket and artillery shelling are done from the other side of the Durand by the military circles.

However, he said the artillery shelling has increased in line with the new operations launched along the Durand Line against the terrorist groups.

Gen. Hussain Khel also added that the Pakistani forces have also abandoned the fencing work in Spin Bari area of Goshta district of Nangarhar.

According to Gen. Hussain Khel, the Afghan forces have also started building standard security posts along the line to provide more facilities to the border protection forces.
