KASUR-An Education Awareness Seminar was organised at Govt Girls High School Nizampura under the auspices of Kasur Elahi Welfare Organisation (KEWO) to highlight importance of the education here the other day.

A large number of girl students and their parents attended the seminar. The students who had performed well in school exams were distributed cash prizes, commendatory certificates, uniforms, bags and books.

On the occasion, speakers showered the KEWO with praise for conducting the seminar and said that such functions should be organised at every educational institution.

District Council Chairman Rana Sikandar Hayat announced to provide Rs200,000 for construction of three more classrooms on the school premises and cleanliness in the village. He also assured Nizampura Union Council (UC) Chairman Mehr Latif of providing requisite funds for uplift of the area.

Kasur Press Club (KPC) President Haji Sharif Mehr pointed out that no nation can make progress without imparting education to children. He appreciated the efforts made by the KEWO for the promotion of education and cleanliness in the area. KEWO President Muhammad Asif conferred a shield on the KPC president for positive journalism.

Nizampura UC Chairman Mehr Latif, CEO (education) Zulfiqar, KPC general secretary Tariq Mehmood Jutt and Union of Journalists (UoJ) President Atta Muhammad Kasuri also spoke on the occasion. The participants recited national anthem at the end of the seminar.
