The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Islamabad District Administration continued the operation against encroachments and illegal constructions on the right side of GT Road on Tuesday. 

This was the second consecutive day of the operation and the CDA and district administration during the operation, demolished various illegal constructions including plazas, showrooms, markets and boundary walls. 

During the operation, the CDA and district administration also retrieved over 225 kanals of state land from illegal occupants. A heavy contingent of police was deployed and in order to, cater any unpleasant situation, with Counter-Terrorism Force, Anti-Roit Unit of ICT Police and Rangers were deployed as back up.
