ECP issues delimitation schedule for Sindh, Balochistan, Islamabad

ISLAMABAD   -  The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced schedule for delimitation in Sindh, Balochistan and Federal Capital Islamabad. Following failure of the Sindh, Balochistan and Islamabad to provide details to the Commission regarding local govt (LG) elections and delimitation, the ECP by fulfilling its constitutional responsibility has decided to hold LG elections in all the territories. In a recent statement, the ECP disclosed that Sindh, Balochistan govts and Islamabad had failed to provide Commission with relevant details for holding the LG polls. The Commission has also announced schedule for delimitation in above mentioned territories. It stated that delimitation in Balochistan will start from December 6, 2021 and will complete on February 28, 2022. The delimitation in Islamabad to start from November 25 and will complete on February 3. The delimitation in Sindh will commence from December 1 and will complete on February 23, 2022.
