KARACHI - Unidentified culprits killed a worker of Sunni Tehreek (ST) on Sunday within the jurisdiction of New Karachi police station (PS). Heavy contingents of law enforcers were called as following the tense situation. Meanwhile, two children were killed while several others injured due to aerial firing in separate wedding ceremonies. As per detail, Noor  alias Lucky 23, a worker of the ST was shot dead at the ground situated next to the Govt Girls College, sector 11/D, New Karachi, SP Dr  Farooq Ahmed told The Nation. Some unidentified men, riding a car, took him away in a friendly manner, shot him dead later on and managed to flee, residents of the area said. Deceased was abducted from his house from sector 11-G of the same area, told SP, adding that he was shot twice and rushed to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. Heavy contingents of the police and rangers were called and deputed in there. In another incident, Abdul Wahid 12 was killed and at least seven others sustained injuries outside the Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai Marriage Hall situated in Moosa Lane, in the jurisdiction of Baghdadi Police Station on Saturday night. The participants were using aerial firing in traditionally dance of Balochis during the wedding ceremony. Police, however, have registered FIR but no arrest was made till filing of this report. Similarly, Shahzaib, 4 was killed during the aerial firing by the participants of the wedding ceremony of the daughter of Mohammad Hussain. The incident took place at Gagdarabad, Ranchore Lane, in the jurisdiction of Nabi Bux PS on Saturday late night. Deceased was said to be a resident of Lines Area who came there in order to attend the ceremony. Police have arrested father of the bride and registered the case. In another incident, Miskeen, 21, was found dead near the private hospital situated Allah Wala Town, in the jurisdiction of Korangi PS. Deceased was an accountant in a bus stand in the same area. He was shot thrice. Police, however, believed that the old enmity was behind the incident. No FIR was registered till filing of this report. Meanwhile, Hassan Badshah, 30, was shot dead by the firing of his neighbour Sultan. The incident took place at Shah Mohalla, Orangi Town No 10; in the jurisdiction of Mominabad PS. Deceased was a labourer by profession and left nine children. Sultan managed to flee from the scene since the incident took place.
