In 2006, some political parties including PML-N, JI, PTI, JUI, PPP and others had arranged an All Parties Conference in London to pass a resolution against Gen Musharraf. Today, our country is facing the most grievous threat to its existence and economy from terrorists who are killing our innocent citizens through suicide bombings. But our politicians who ran a campaign against Musharraf all over the world are not prepared to do anything to take Pakistan out of its current difficulties. Even more galling is the fact that some of our politicians are not even prepared to unequivocally condemn these suicide bombings. I urge all our politicians to hold an APC now, just as they did in 2006, and pass a unanimous resolution against the extremists. -DAWAR NAQVI, Torrance, USA, via e-mail, October 6.
