Number of dengue patients reaches 251 in City

LAHORE - The menace of dengue fever continued to haunt the masses across the province including the City with the number of affected people coming to public sector and private hospitals increasing with every passing day. Though the government has claimed to make necessary arrangements at public sector hospitals to accommodate extra patients, people continued to go to the private healthcare centres to get proper and timely treatment. On Tuesday, 92 dengue fever patients were brought to public sector hospitals and city district government dispensaries, bringing total number of patients in the City to 251. Total number of dengue patients in Punjab has reached 310. According to the details, 39 dengue cases were reported from Kot Khawaja Saeed Hospital, 33 from various private healthcare centres, 07 from CDGL dispensaries, 06 from Mayo Hospital, 04 from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and 03 from Services Hospital.
