We, the residents of Block B, C and E Gulshan-e-Ravi Lahore would like to bring to the notice of Chief Executive Lesco and those who set the schedule of load shedding in the city, the menace of unscheduled spells of loadshedding. According to the notification of Lesco, loadshedding is applicable to the Moon Market commercial area Gulshan-e-Ravi Lahore for two hours thrice in a day. This market is situated in E-block of the scheme and due to this notification the residents of Block B and C are badly affected. They have to experience load shedding for more than six hours daily. The loadshedding spell between 8.00 p.m to 10:00 p.m is particularly painful. The remaining blocks of the scheme which are A, F, G and H are exempted like all other parts of the city. But, we unfortunately have to face the brunt of power outages. We have constantly been requesting higher authorities of Lesco, but no proper attention has been given to our problem. One reason is that these blocks are attached with commercial market feeder of the Moon market. This reason is not justified. Due to unjustified load shedding all the residents of Block B, C and E are at the mercy of Lesco. Please note that every house cannot be expected to have alternate energy arrangement like the UPS. We request authorities and officials in Lesco to separate the commercial feeder of the Moon Market Gulshan-e-Ravi Lahore from the domestic area. The residents of Block B C and E should be rescued from the torture of unscheduled loadsh-edding . MAHMOOD AHMAD MINHAS, Lahore, October 19.
