Sikhs file complaint against Amitabh Bachchan

NEW YORK - Bollywood film star Amitabh Bachchan faces a criminal complaint filed against him in Australia by a US-based Sikh organisation for allegedly inciting, participating, abetting and carrying out the attacks on Indias Sikh population in November 1984. The complaint by Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) was filed with Christopher Craigie, the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions in Australia, where Bachchan is on a trip to receive an honorary degree , a SFJ press release said. More than 30,000 Sikhs were killed within 4 days across India in the aftermath of prime minister Indira Gandhis assassination in 1984. SFJ is already pursuing legal cases against Indian National Congress and Kamal Nath, a government minister, in the US Federal Courts for their role in organising systematic attacks on Sikh community.
