OUR STAFF REPORTER LAHORE - Punjab Board of Investment & Trade (PBIT) signed a facilitation MoU with Em-Zealand Sloutionz (EZS), which was inked by Director General Facilitation PBIT Dr Sajid Yoosufani, under the guidance of the Chief Operating Officer PBIT Iftikhar Hussain Babar and Peter Davey, Global Development Executive of EZS. EZS and PBIT intend to work together to identify and develop new business strategies for boosting up production in the field of dairy, meat and other food businesses in Punjab. By virtues of this MoU , PBIT would endeavor to assist through facilitation EZS in establishing joint ventures with potential foreign and local investors of dairy, mutton and beef farming business, facilitation for arranging public utilities such as water, electricity, gas by coordinating the concerned government departments in accordance within the laws, rules and regulations in this behalf. EZS will develop dairy and meat projects on turnkey basis for local investors as well as go for JVs with large dairy/meat companies in Pakistan as consortium. In this way, PBIT is promoting matchmaking of Pakistani companies with EZS to promote investments in dairy & livestock sector. The EZS will also work to bring in Foreign Direct Investments in collaboration with their JV partners, Emirates Investment Group. This will involve the Pakistani based dairy and meat companies to seek business opportunities with a better technology and handholding.
