KARACHI - The passing out parade of Aero Apprentices was held on Friday at the PAF Base Korangi Creek. A PAF press release said that Air Marshal Farhat Hussain Khan, Vice Chief of the Air Staff, was the chief guest on the occasion. Aero Apprentices including personnel from Pakistan Navy and friendly countries successfully completed their technical training.Addressing the Aero Apprentices, the chief guest said, “You must keep in mind that PAF has always made up for the qualitative and quantitative gap against the adversary through highest levels of professional training. Therefore, what you have learnt here is just the stepping stone and you are to embark upon remaining journey through continuous stride. I, therefore, reiterate that professional training is the key to handling modern war machines. Remember that the nation has placed its precious assets at your disposal, so it is your earnest duty to look after these and follow the laid down procedures in true letter and spirit’.He further said, “Our country is confronted with multidimensional challenges. Amongst the existing challenges, security is the most serious concern. Pakistan as a nation, and we as soldiers have to embrace this challenge alongside our professional duties. It is must, that you manifest the highest degree of devotion, commitment and excellence in your profession and to the security needs as well.”While advising the PAF Aero Apprentices, he said, “I am confident that you will keep alive the glorious traditions of Pakistan Air Force, an Air Force second to none, as envisioned by our great Quaid. I am also extremely satisfied to see that School of Aeronautics and Electronics are providing quality training in the realms of aviation technology, not only to the Aero Apprentices of PAF, but also to the personnel of sister services and friendly countries. I am certain that the personnel of sister services and friendly countries will prove to be the true ambassadors of these training institutes.”The chief guest awarded trophies to the distinction holders. Noor Khan Trophy for the Best in Avionics Technology was awarded to AC Muhammad Imran; Trophy for the Best in General Service Training was awarded to AC Wg Sgt Muhammad Saqib Zia. Asghar Khan Trophy for the Best in Aeronautics Technology and Chief of the Air Staff’s Trophy for the Overall Best Performance, both were awarded to AC Nisar Ahmed. The ceremony was witnessed by high-ranking military and civil officials and a large number of guests of Aero Apprentices.
