ISLAMABAD - Eighteen major government websites have been hacked by Pak Mad hunters following which each official website has been taken offline.

Media reports said the hackers had released a message that stated, "All the corrupt and traitor ministers pawned. Message delivered to Pakistan government."

List of the targets, includes the Establishment Division (, Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (, the Cabinet Secretariat (, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Resources (, the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan (, and the Ministry Of Climate Change Division ( The hacked sites are of the Ministry of Defense (, Ministry of Defence Production (, Federal Ombudsman - Wafaqi Mohtasib (, the Workers' Welfare Fund (, the Ministry of Water and Power (, the Ministry of Ports and Shipping ( The website of the Ministry of Education, Trainings and Standards in Higher Education (, the National Health Emergency Preparedness and Response Network (, the Ministry of Railways (, the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs (, and the Ministry of National Harmony ( have also been defaced. Judging by the messages posted by the hackers on Facebook, the attack took place around 16 hours ago and the websites were defaced for several hours.

Earlier this month, the same hackers targeted a couple of websites belonging to Indian telecommunications companies, namely BSNK and Hathaway.
