ISLAMABAD - National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has prepared a final list of references to file against important personalities.
As per details, NAB will file more than 150 new references with the approval of NAB Chairman Chaudhry Qamar Zaman while more than 1,000 inquiries are also under process.
The NAB sources said more than 1,000 inquiries and 150 references had been delayed due to delay in the appointment of new NAB chairman as investigation teams had to wait for approval from the chairman.
After the vacation all references, including the illegal appointment of Tauqir Sadiq as Oil and Gas Regularity Authority (Ogra) chairman, will be sent immediately to the NAB chairman for his approval.
The list of new references includes many names of high-profile personalities, former ministers and bureaucrats. After final approval, investigating teams will be given the task of investigations and arrests.
A private news channel reported that the NAB officials had finalised the list on the directive of NAB Chairman Qamar Zaman Chaudhry. Some serving bureaucrats have also been included in the list.
The sources also said many important personalities had also started contacting the NAB authorities.
