LAHORE - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have decided to continue their efforts for the development and prosperity of the country without worrying about the sit-ins and public meetings by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
During there meeting held at Raiwind on Sunday, the Sharif brothers also exchanged views on expansion of the Federal and Punjab Cabinets as well as on the names of those who are in contention for these slots.
According to sources, the Prime Minister advised the Chief Minister to again induct Rana Sanaullah Khan as the provincial Law Minister in view of his matchless services for the party.
However, Shahbaz Sharif said that Rana Sanaullah wants to clear his name from the Model Town tragedy before his rejoining of the provincial Cabinet.
The Prime Minister also asked the Chief Minister to continue his contacts with the PML-N members of the Assemblies.
The sources said that the PML-N Information Secretary Senator Mushahidullah is likely to become Federal Minister when the Cabinet is expanded.
The Prime Minister and the Chief Minister decided to continue their efforts for the well being of the masses and that the sit-ins and public meetings would not bother them.
They expressed their determination to overcome loadshedding, foil all the conspiracies against the government and fulfil every commitment made to the people during the elections. They reiterated that the PML-N has come to power with the votes of the people and would not hurt their confidence.
The Prime Minister once again declared that the government would complete its Constitutional term and next elections would only be held in 2018.
