GUJRANWALA - The E-Khidmat Centres would prove to be an effective tool in providing quick, transparent and efficient services to the citizens.

Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Chairman Dr Umar Saif stated during soft launch of Citizen Facilitation Centre (CFC) at Shaheenabad here the other day.

Gujranwala Commissioner Muhammad Asif, RPO Muhammad Tahir, DCO Amir Jan, CPO Waqas Nazeer, PITB (E-Governance) DG Sajid Latif, Director Facilitation Wasim Bhatti and others were also present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Saif expressed gratitude to the district administration for extending full cooperation in establishing the CFC in a short period of time. He said that the CFC would provide a number of different public services including domicile forms, marriage, divorce, birth and death certificates, learners’ driving license, rout permit and Fard of land through automatic computerised process. “The ticket system would also be helpful in eliminating bribe and favouritism from the department and make the services prompt and transparent,” he pointed out.

Commissioner Muhammad Asif also praised the chief minister’s vision for transforming all government businesses in modern technology. He said that the CFC would enhance efficiency of government employees by decreasing load of work on the government departments.
