A girl jumped out of a moving vehicle in Karachi on Saturday after allegedly being harassed by the driver.

The girl, who received minor injuries due to jumping out of the moving vehicle, said that she decided to jump out of the moving car, instead of giving chance to someone to lay his hands on her honour.

The accused driver was caught by people passing by and was handed over to the police. He was shifted to Saddar police station. The girl said that she had submitted an application with the police, but she is not pursuing the matter in order to avoid escalation.

Police said they had registered an initial report of the incident and it was being investigated. They said they would also summon officials of the ride-hailing service in this regard.
