Govt wants to reduce masses' burdens: PM Imran

Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan has said that the the real problem is in the conditions that come attached to a bailout, not with approaching the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Talking to the media on Saturday, the PM, who came under severe criticism upon his decision to approach IMF for a bailout by political opponents who claim it to be another one of his U-turns, said that the government does not want to add to the masses' economical burdens.

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman also slammed the opposition, saying that it is not a 'real' opposition and that most political leaders have united to save their money. “A lot of politicians are criminals. We have enough evidence (to ensure) criminals won’t escape,” he added.

"I will not be pressured and will go till the end.  I will not spare any thief or a criminal,” the premier said, adding that there will be no deal with the opposition over sparing criminals. Mocking his political opponent Shehbaz Sharif, Imran Khan Imran said that he was trying to be Nelson Mandela.
