QUETTA - At least five people were wounded in a hand grenade attack in Gowalmandi area of Quetta, on Wednesday night.

According to police, some five people were sitting near Kasi graveyard when unidentified armed men hurled a hand grenade and fled from the scene.

Resultantly, the grenade exploded with a huge blast and wounded them.

Police and rescue workers rushed to the sit and moved the injured to hospital for medical aid. “Four injured people have been discharged after providing them first medical aid while one injured has sustained serious wounds who is being provided treatment” hospital sources said.

The injured were identified as Abdul Ghani, Hasim, Muhammad Nabi, Taymor and Bilal Khan. Police have started investigation into grenade attack.
