HAFIZABAD/TOBA TEK SINGH/BUREWALA/NOWSHERA VIRKAN/HAVELI LAKHA/BAHAWALLPUR/DASKA – A number people across the Punjab province like other parts of the country and the world took out rallies as a protest against the anti-Islam film produced in the US.Power loom workers took out a rally to protest against the sacrilegious film prepared in the US. Led by president of the Union, Muhammad Zaman Ansari, the workers were holding anti-US and Israel banners and placards. They marched the main roads raising slogans against them and called upon the government to end diplomatic relations with the US. Meanwhile, the citizens of Jalalpur Bhattian also observed shutdown strike and taken out processions to protest against the profane film. On the call of Apca, clerks of the district also went on strike and took out a rally to protest against the film. The rally was led by Nasrullah Hajra, the President of APCA Hafizabad Chapter.IN TOBA TEK SINGH, pharmaceutical companies’ salesmen and medical representatives took out a rally to condemn the blasphemous movie. It marched on Toba-Rajana and Toba-Kamalia road. It was led by Mian Rizwan and Shahnawaz Randhawa. The participants were raising slogans against America.IN BUREWALA, a shutdown strike was observed in the city by different traders, social and religious organisations as they protested against the anti-Islam film made in the US.The strike call was given by several religious and business organisations, including Markazi Anjuman-e-Tajraan Burewala, Jamat-e-Islami, Jamiat Ulema Islam, Anjuman Tulaba-i-Islam, PML-N and Ahle Sunnat-wal-Jamaat. The traffic remain thin and work in local courts was also affected due to the shutdown. The participants of rally were holding placards and banners and it concluded in front of Press Club of Burewala where the protesters burnt tyres and chanted slogans against the US film makers.  The participants strongly condemned the blasphemous movie as it is highly provocative and has hurt the feelings and sentiments of millions of Muslims across the globe,”IN NOWSHERA VIRKAN, like other parts of the country, different religious scholars, political leaders, social activists and a large number of people from different walks of life took to the streets against the blasphemous continue film. The protestors shouted slogans against America and Israel. They burnt the flags and effigies of the American Pastor Terry Jones who produced the blasphemous film with the help of Israel. Addressing the protestors, Maulana Shabuddin Khalid termed the release of the video religious terrorism. He demanded the government should immediately oust the US envoy from Islamabad. He said that Americans, Israelis and their allied countries were working against Muslims, adding that they were enemies of Islam. On the occasion, Jamiat Ahle Hadith leader Maulana Muhammad Ishaq Goharwi condemned sacrilegious movie. He demanded the death punishment for its producers and makers. He demanded the government should take up the sensitive issue at international and diplomatic level and convey the sentiments of the Muslims. Sunni Tehreek leader Hafiz Qasim Mustafai said that blasphemous movie was the worst example hate crimes and religious terrorism against Muslims. He said that the film contradicted the claims of so-called civilized world that had been harping on the interfaith harmony.  Addressing the gathering Jamaat-e-islami leader Sardar Riaz Ahmed termed that blasphemous movie prepared in the America as religious terrorism. He said that the US and their allied countries especially Israel playing with the sentiments of the Muslims. He demanded the government to cut off all ties with the US. He warned that the satanic acts of Jews and Americans jeopardized world peace as the Muslims of all over the world could not tolerate such things.IN HAVELI LAKHA, people protest against the anti-Islam movie and traders observed shutdown. A large number of local citizens especially religious and traders protested against the anti-Islam movie and held a rally which started from Chowk Jamia Masjid Laskar Din and ended at Main Bus Stand Yaadgar Chowk. The participants were carrying placards and banners inscribed with anti-America slogans.  Speakers also addressed the participants and said no one will be allowed to commit blasphemy and the Pakistani government must take necessary action. They said that protest would continue unless the government takes bold decision. The shops remained close the whole the day. IN BAHAWALLPUR, the local journalists will hold a protest meeting at Press-Club on 20 to condemn the anti-Islam blasphemous movie and later take-out a rally from the Press-Club to Farid Gate.    IN DASKA, religious, political and social organisations took out protest rallies in Daska and its surrounding areas to record their strong protest against the blasphemous movie here the other day. Hundreds of the people participated in these rallies. They were holding agitational placards and banners. They chanted anti US slogans. They also burnt the American and Israeli flags.As per detail the protesters kept the traffic blocked on various roads by burning tyres on the main Daska-Sialkot road near Civil Hospital Chowk for two to three hours. The protesters including the local leaders and activists of PML-N, PPP, PML-Q, Jamaat-e-Islami and Tehreek-e-Insaaf also unanimously passed several condemnation resolutions, demanding cut of all the linkages with US to lodge strong protest against the blasphemous and to press the America to halt hurting the religious sentiments of the Muslim Ummah, in this regard.
