LAHORE – Strong agitation by religious parties and common citizens over the blasphemous movie proved that we were true slaves of Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).

TheNation Editor-in-Chief and Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) Chairman Majid Nizami said this in his presidential address at a seminar on Tahaffuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan on Wednesday. The NPT organised the ceremony in collaboration with the Pakistan Movement Workers Trust.

Speaking on the occasion, Nizami termed the recent protests started in the Muslim world against the sacrilegious movie commendable. He criticised the government as well as the Opposition on their weak agitation.

TheNation Editor-in-Chief said he got surprised over the Organization of Islamic Countries (OIC)’s cold response on the hot issue that it had not even called the emergency meeting. He said the OIC should not only force the United Nations to devise a law barring any move from insulting the Holy Prophet (PBUH) in future.

“All the Muslims show a great respect for Christ and Moses,” he added. He said on the other hand the non-Muslims were unaware of the real status of the last Prophet (PBUH).

Sajjadah Nashin of Chura Sharif Pir Kabir Ali Shah in his address said the current incident was not a first one but a part of series of incidents done by the non-Muslims to examine our graph of honor.

NPT Vice Chairman Prof Rafique Ahmad said we strongly condemned the dirty act of a Jew. He said Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) is blessing of Allah for the mankind. He said a reason behind happening of such incidents was to capture the Muslim resources.

Pir Walid Sharqpuri said they would not tolerate any blasphemous act and the agitation against it proved that the Muslims were alive. Dr Fariq Pirach said the conspiracy knit by the western scholars against the Holy Prophet was a challenge against Muslims.

A resolution was also passed that said a group of western people wanted to use people like Terry Jones for their political purposes. “The protesters on such acts are being labeled as terrorists and extremists,” the resolution said. The deputation of the US soldiers on the Embassies was also rejected in the resolution. It also called upon the political and military leadership to shun their role in war on terror.
