ISLAMABAD - Strong protests against the profane film produced in the United States continued on Wednesday across the country as several hundred protesting lawyers broke through a gate into the diplomatic enclave that houses the US Embassy and other foreign missions.

First time in the history of Federal capital of Islamabad, demonstrators compelled heavy contingents of Islamabad capital territory police to go on the defensive line forcing their entry into Diplomatic Enclave.

The lawyers broke through blockades and stormed their entry to Diplomatic Enclave through the main gate, however, the Rangers helped police force to stop the demonstrators outside the Egyptian Embassy.

The peaceful demonstrators somehow managed to enter US Embassy and handed over a resolution condemning the film which has hurt the sentiments of Muslims the world over.

The protesters set alight effigies of the man who allegedly made the blasphemous film.
