Miandad claims blown in the air

ISLAMABAD - Javed Miandad, who was sent to Sri Lanka on the directives of PCB Chairman Chuadhry Zaka Ashraf on a special mission to help Pakistan batsmen improve their batting skills but team collapse against England negated his claim that he did his job successfully. Earlier, Miandad claimed all the credit of Pakistan's victory against India in the earlier warm-up match in his account and said this was because of his efforts and hard work that Pakistan was able to win that match against arch-rivals but after defeat in the hands of England, what should Miandad had to say over batsmen worst performance and failure to achieve the lowest 111 runs victory target.  Pakistan batsmen are known for losing matches when chasing relatively small targets and win matches against any given opposition on their given day. The masses have high hopes from Pakistan team and after the victory against India in which Pakistan despite losing five wickets chased such a daunting target in 19.1 overs. They were hoping of their team to win the World Cup title. It is now up to the batsmen not to let themselves and the team down and not spoil the hard work of the bowlers. They must bat sensibly and try to spend time at the crease it would help not only piling up good totals but also to chase given targets successfully.  This defeat is also an eye-opener for the selectors too. They must select a well-balanced and deserving side and they have the liberty to choose the players of their liking from the available bunch of players. What they only need to do is to pick the right combination and in reply they will get the desired results.
