Zardari urged to take up issue with UN Assembly

LAHORE – President Asif Ali Zardari should take up the issue of blasphemous movie during his upcoming speech at the UN General Assembly, demands Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) central vice president Ijaz Chaudhary.
He made this demand while addressing a press conference on Wednesday at party’s central office. Shafqat Mehmood, PTI central spokesman was also present on this occasion.
Ijaz further demanded that government should call an immediate moot of the Islamic countries, which would propose the entire world community to make international laws against the blasphemy of Prophets of Islam, Christianity and Judaism.
He demanded that the increasing crimes of ‘Islam Phobia’ should also put in the list of hate crime laws in the West, especially the US.
He said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf would launch peaceful protest demonstrations and rallies across the country against the profane movie tomorrow (Friday), besides lending its support to the similar call of the Difa-i-Pakistan Council  and SIC.
The Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) leader said, “We certainly feel the sentiments of our Muslim community but we think that damaging the property of their brethren or state and worship places of other religions will not prove helpful bringing to justice the culprits of blasphemy.”  He called upon the Ummah to forge unity and devise joint strategy to thwart such acts in future.
