Customs Intelligence claimed to have seized a huge quantity of imported cloth and tea from two Sialkot-bound buses here the other day.
According to details, the Customs Intelligence was tipped off about the shipment of a huge consignment comprising smuggled cloth and tea from Afghanistan. At which the Customs Intelligence established a picket and started snap-checking. In the meantime, huge quantity of imported cloth and tea, being smuggled to Sialkot, was recovered from hidden compartments of two buses, coming from Peshawar. The officials took into custody 30,000 metres of cloth and 30 big bags of tea and arrested two persons.
