LAHORE - Former president Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday reached London from Dubai, his first visit abroad since after he left the Presidency on September 9.

In London, Zardari would participate in the birthday celebration of his son, Bilawal, who would turn 25 on September 21 (tomorrow). The former president is expected to visit America in the last week of September, but sources said that his plan to go to the US is not final as yet.

A petition seeking court orders to stop Asif Zardari from proceeding abroad in view of the cases against him is still pending in the Supreme Court.

The party sources are clueless about when the PPP leader would return from his foreign trip. But they are confident Zardari would not prolong his stay abroad and come back soon.
