HAFIZABAD/MULTAN/SARGODHA/MANDI BAHAUDDIN/KANGANPUR/GUJRANWALA
At least 13 persons including two women and two minors were killed and five others injured in different incidents of violence, enmity and road mishaps over the past 24 hours.
According to details, in HAFIZABAD, three persons including a woman and a minor were killed when a speeding truck hit their bike near Jalalpur Bhattian here on Thursday afternoon.
According to police source, Muhammad Ashraf along with his mother Fatima Bibi and minor brother Mubashir of Seoke village was on the way to his village when a carelessly driven truck (GAB-0916) coming from the opposite direction dashed against the bike, resultantly all the three were fatally injured and were shifted to hospital but were pronounced dead. All the three dead bodies were shifted to the morgue for post-mortem.
The Jalalpur Bhattian Police have registered a case against the absconding truck driver.
In SARGODHA, two motorcyclists died in two separate road accidents here on Thursday. As per details, two speeding motorbikes collided on Sargodha-Faisalabad Road near village 46/SB. Resultantly Dilawar, a resident of Sillanwali expired instantly while Amir who was sitting pillion received serious injuries. In another incident, a tractor-trolley hit a motorcycle near village 109/NA, killing the motorcyclist on the spot.
Similarly in MANDI BAHAUDDIN, a man along with his accomplices shot dead his uncle over a property dispute here the other day. According to details, Ali Hassan who was in dispute with his uncle Muhammad Anaar ambushed him along with his two accomplices in the limits of Malakwal Police when he was on the way to village Chote Dheeran. The body was shifted to THQ Hospital for autopsy and the police have registered a case.
In Kanganpur, a man gunned down his son over a petty dispute in Basti Merey situated in the remit of Kanganpur Police.
As per reports, Suraiya Bibi, mother of the victim reported to the police that she along with her three children were asleep in the courtyard of his house when her husband Mohammad Din, a retired army man opened fire on his 25-year-old son Javaid Iqbal. Resultantly he sustained gunshot wounds and was rushed to hospital where doctor pronounced him death. The police have registered a case against accused on the report of his wife.
In GUJRANWALA, a lady teacher was crushed to death by a speeding truck here the other day.
As per details, the teacher identified as Aneela was coming back from school along with her brother when they reached near Jinnah Road speeding truck hit their motorcycle. As a result she died on the spot while her brother got injured.
Whereas the dead body of a two-year-old child who had gone missing was found from a pond. According to police, two-year-old Atta Habib, son of Irfan, a resident of Kot Ishaq, went missing two days ago. However, his body was found from a pond in the area.
Meanwhile, in MULTAN, at least three persons were shot dead and three others injured over a matrimonial dispute here in Shujabad area on Thursday.
According to unconfirmed details, the family members of a youth went to the house of a girl to seek her hand in marriage for their youth.
However, the relatives of the girl turned angry over their proposal of marriage and opened fire on the family members of the youth, killing three persons on the spot and injured three others, the police told.
On information, the police and rescue teams rushed to the scene and shifted the bodies and injured to hospital. The police have registered a triple murder case and started investigation.
On the other hand, in BAHAWALNAGAR, a man was killed over a minor dispute. According to details, a youth namely Imran fixed a swing for children at Quresh Colony here and engaged one Irfan as servant to look after the business. However, they exchanged harsh words over the raise in the wage of Irfan at which he got infuriated and killed Imran by a sharp-edged weapon and later dumped his dead body at Khalid Maqbool Park. The ‘A’ Division Police have registered a case.
