LAHORE - Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri, former Foreign Minister and Chairperson Regional Peace Institute (RPI) will lead a two-member delegation to China to attend International Peace Conference in Kunming in the Yunnan province.

The conference will be held from September 20-22 and will be attended by a large number of dignitaries from the South-Asian countries including Parliamentarians and heads of political parties.

The conference is being held to commemorate the International Day of Peace 2013 and is being sponsored by the China-South Asia Peace and Development Forum.

The Chinese Vice President will also attend the conference. The participants will travel to Beijing to meet Chinese leaders after the conference.

Kasuri has also been asked to chair one of the key sessions at the conference and deliver a lecture on “Opportunities and Challenges: Traditional Heritage and Creative Development of the Chine-South-Asia Relationship.”.

Raoof Hasan, member Board of Governors and Executive Director of the RPI is the other member of the delegation.
