ISLAMABAD - KRL Football Club will depart today (Friday) to Malacca, Malaysia to play two matches of the AFC President’s Cup against Dordoi Bishkek and Hilal Al-Quds. The clubs from Central Asia have been the dominant force in the AFC President’s Cup with six out of eight titles going to the clubs from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan while Taiwan Power Company and Myanmar’s Yadanarbon were the remaining clubs from Asia managed to win AFC President’s Cup. The finals will start on September 23 with Three Star Club taking on Balkan and KRL facing Dordoi with the group winners meeting in the final on 29th. All the matches will be played at Hang Jibat Stadium. M Ayaz Butt is team manager and Tariq Lutfi is head coach while Sajjad Mehmood his assistant. Samar Ishaque is leading the team.–Staff Reporter
