HAFIZABAD
An elder brother in Mohallah Bawalpura Kassoke Road Hafizabad was shot at and killed on-the-spot by his three real brothers and their sons due to distribution of two acres ancestral land.
According to police, there was a dispute on the distribution of two acres of land between the deceased Inayat Ullah and his brothers Muhammad Riaz, Muhammad Arshad and Muhammad Ashiq since long.  According to deceased Inayat’s son, his uncles wanted to get the transfer of the disputed land in their name but his father wanted to distribute it in equal share.
The accused visited the house of deceased early this morning and forced him to transfer the land in their names but the deceased repeated his stance to distribute the land in equal share according to law. Thereupon, the accused and deceased exchanged harsh words, resultantly the deceased refused to transfer the land in their favour. On this, the accused allegedly opened indiscriminate firing owing to which Inayat Ulalh died on-the-spot.
After committing the offence all the accused managed their good escape. The city police rushed to the spot and shifted the dead body to the city morgue for autopsy and have registered a case against the accused who are still absconding.
