A young married woman was gang raped by six armed persons at a filing station at Bhiri Morr on Gujranwala Road, about 16-km from here the other night.
According to police source, Yasmeen Bibi, a resident of Mohallah Qazafipura along with her brother-in-law Muhammad Hanif was returning to Hafizabad from Gujranwala in van. However, when the van reached Bhiri Morr, its driver refused to proceed to Hafizabad on some pretext and advised all the passengers to get down from the vehicle. When Yasmeen and Muhammad Hanif were waiting for a vehicle to reach their destination on the roadside, some unidentified accused approached them and invited them sit in the nearby filing station to wait for a vehicle. After that the accused allegedly took Muhammad Hanif in a room where they tortured him severely. Later, owner of the filing station and five others took the woman to another room where all the six fiendish young men gang raped the woman.  In the morning, the accused threw the woman and her brother-in-law in a deserted place. Later, the victim along with her brother-in-law visited the Press Club Hafizabad and narrated her woeful ordeal.
She demanded the IG, RPO Gujranwala and the Punjab Chief Minister to order for the immediate arrest of the accused and provide them deterrent punishment.
