I am not sure why Altaf Husain’s suggestion of creating additional federating units in the country was put forward; after all we can't seem to get along with just four provinces, so what benefit would any further devolution of powers reap? Pakistan needs a strong government that meticulously upholds the Constitution and indiscriminately monitors and applies policies for the efficient running of the State.
A centralized authority needs to be exercised to prevent any power hungry struggles from materializing in the future.
