LAHORE - PIA pre-Haj operation concluded with overall 96 percent punctuality rate and transporting more than 55,800 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia, said spokesman of PIA on Saturday.
The last pre-Haj flight departed from Islamabad on Thursday night, the airline operated 147 pre-Haj flights and carried more than 43,000 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia. PIA also carried more than 12,870intending pilgrims through its regular scheduled flights to Saudi Arabia.
The national flag carrier operated 22 pre-Haj flights from Islamabad and carried more than 7,497 intending pilgrims from the national capital. It also operated 25-pre-Haj flights from Karachi and carried 8,020 intending pilgrims and 16 flights from Lahore with 5,213 intending pilgrims.
The airline operated 12 flights from Multan with 3,907 intending pilgrims, 26 flights from Peshawar with 8,446 pilgrims, 40 flights from Quetta with 7,999 pilgrims and 06 pre-Haj flights from Sialkot, with 1,965 pilgrims.
PIA Haj Operation commenced on August 18 with flights departing from Lahore, Peshawar, Karachi and Islamabad for Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
