Schools open sans security

KAMALIA-Most of the schools and colleges here made no security arrangements in accordance with the National Action Plan (NAP).
They have not arranged security guards at gates. Government had issued strict orders for ensuring strict security measures at all educational institutions in Punjab. But these schools, after summer vacations, are not following the government orders regarding security arrangements. People have demanded strict action against the government and private schools’ administrations for the negligence.

Maintenance of the law and order is the collective responsibility of the Punjab and public. Ulema must come forward and make efforts to ensure sectarian harmony during the upcoming holy month of Muharramul Harram.
Kamalia DSP Mehr Muhammad Saeed stated at a meeting of the police officers and Kamalia Aman Committee members here the other day.
He pointed out that people of Kamalia tehsil are peace-loving and they must show intersect harmony. Being Muslims we must respect each other, he underlined. He appealed to the public to cooperate with the policemen to maintain peaceful atmosphere during Muharram.
Local religious scholars including Maulana Hafeezur Rehman Rashidi, Qari Umar Farooq Siddiqui, Syed Abul Hassan alias Bablu Shah and Mumtaz Hussain Gondal attended the meeting.
