SIALKOT - A youth allegedly hanged to death his sister-in-law (wife of brother) over a property dispute in village Othiyaan-Bambaanwala, Daska tehsil here on Monday.

Muhammad Ameen, father of the victim Saira Parveen, informed the police that his daughter was married to Abdul Salam 11 years ago. She was mother of two sons. Her husband lives in Saudi Arabia in connection with his job.

He said that her brother-in-law (Dewar) Muhammad Bilal used to beat her for not giving him money. He said that on Monday the accused brutally tortured her and later hanged her with ropes to death over dispute of property.

Daska DSP Lal Muhammad Khokhar said that the Bambaanwala Police have registered a murder case (No 246/2016) under section 302 PPC against Bilal, with no arrest in this regard.

Later, police handed over dead body to her family for burial.

YOUTH BODY RECOVERED

Divers of Rescue 1122 fished out the dead body of an unidentified youth from Marala-Ravi-Link Canal near Motra-Daska.

DSP Lal Muhammad Khokhar said that some unidentified accused had murdered the youth and threw the dead body into the canal to conceal their sin.

He said that the Motra Police shifted the dead body to Daska Civil Hospital for autopsy. Police have registered a case.

90 PIGEONS STOLEN

Unidentified dacoits took away 90 pigeons of different kinds from the Haveli of Muhammad Shehbaz in village Kotla Sukhiya-Motra, Daska tehsil here.

The police have registered a case with no arrest or recovery in this regard.
