KARACHI - Adviser to Chief Minister for Information Law and Anti-corruption Barrister Murtaza Wahab has said that all cases of anti-corruption must be decided in ninety days after that period the department would not be allowed to authorize such cases.
This he said while held a meeting with officers of the ACE at his office on Wednesday. He directed that if all evidences are against any accused, the case should be present in anti-corruption court accordingly. Otherwise after ninety days the case may be withdrawn.
He warned that negligence would not be tolerated and multiple check and balance system is ensured at all levels to see visible changes, furthermore “If any evidence is not found against any person in any case or any complaint is received to harass innocent people respective officer/official will be taken to task as per law and rules,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Wahab along with the Secretary Information Abdul Rasheed Solangi, Information Department Director Zeenat Jehan and others visited the Information Department offices without any protocol and mingled with the common people and interacted with them, inquired about their common issues and grievances with regard to resolve by the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
The adviser said that the people of province of Sindh are our real strength as they reposed and extended their confidence in the leadership of the PPP and led to them in power again in general elections of 2018. He further said that public oriented projects, welfare and well being of the poor masses are the top priority of the PPP government. He maintained that all foolproof security arrangements were ensured during Muharramul Haram by deploying of the law enforcement agencies including police and Rangers.
