Four killed in separate incidents

Rawalpindi -At least four people including a woman were killed and two others injured in separate incidents of firing in the district, informed sources on Wednesday.
The incidents of shooting took place within limits of Police Stations Mandra and Gujar Khan, they said.
According to sources, three people working in the fields of village Buchial were gunned down by a rickshaw driver Wasim and his accomplice Madim. Five people were travelling in a tractor trolley towards village Buchial when Wasim tried to overtake the trolley. However, the tractor driver did not give way to the rickshaw driver angering the latter. Wasim and Madim arrived in the field with weapons and opened a volley of bullets on the workers. As a result, three people were killed on the spot while two others sustained critical bullet injuries, sources said. The sources added the attackers managed to escape the scene whereas the dead bodies were shifted to Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital for autopsy and medical treatment.
A heavy contingent of police headed by Station House Officer (SHO) PS Mandra and investigators of Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) inspected the crime scene and collected evidences to interrogate the triple murder case.
In the hospital, the deceased were identified as Fazal Karim (55), Muhammad Jamil (26) and Muhammad Navid (33) and the injured were Naheem and Shakil. One of the deceased named Muhammad Nahim was a soldier in the army, sources added. The police have filed a case against the killers.
In the second incident, a man shot dead his sister in the name of honour at Pindora, the precinct of PS Gujar Khan.
The killer identified as Habib managed to escape the scene after gunning down his sister. Police arrived and shifted the dead body of woman to hospital for post-mortem. Murder case was registered against the killer while further investigation is on.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Saddar Circle Dr Ali Raza, who is also holding additional charge of SSP (Operations) Rawalpindi, was not available when contacted for comment.
