According to a handout, he was talking to a delegation of PML-N in London on Tuesday.

“We will continue to move forward, ignoring the elements indulging in politics of falsehood and baseless allegations as the people have no interest in negative politics,” he added.

The CM said that the elements wasting the precious times of the nation with their negative politics did not gain anything except embarrassment, as the people want solution to their problems and national development.

The chief minister said that the PML-N government had served masses as a sacred trust and added that Pakistan of today is more peaceful and prosperous than before.

The PML-N government did not make tall claims for overcoming load-shedding, but took practical steps and steered the country out of the darkness by eliminating the menace of loadshedding. He said that merit had been promoted at every level in the province and different programmes of the Punjab government including education sector reforms were reflective of the merit policy. The government is pursuing zero-tolerance policy against corruption, nepotism and a culture of recommendations.

The international bodies have also acknowledged transparency in development projects of the government.

The chief minister said that development projects were being completed in all regions to ensure composite development in the province and schemes worth billions of rupees had been completed on priority basis in less developed and far-flung areas. All the development projects are an example of their own as far as transparency is concerned, he added.

The PML-N government has selflessly served masses during the last more than four years and the sincere efforts made to move the country on the road to development and prosperity are bearing fruit.

Whenever the PML-N came into power, it brought development and prosperity to the country, he said, adding that Pakistan is changing with regard to development, but the mentality of the politicians lacking political wisdom has remained unchanged till today. He said that there was no other example of transparency and completion of development projects with high-quality in the history and added that there was no other priority than national development and public welfare. He said that he had dedicated his whole life for serving people till his last breath.
