Competitive testing bodies trying to defame NTS: CEO

ISLAMABAD – Several competitive testing bodies in Sindh are allegedly involved in defaming the National Testing Service by spreading negative propaganda in a bid to gain their own benefit, CEO NTS Dr Sherzada Khan said on Tuesday.

Talking to APP, he said that Sindh government has cancelled the admission tests of pre-medical conducted by the NTS without any proof of paper leakage.

He said when the issue of paper leakage was raised, NTS extended its support for all inquiries and the concerned department also visited head office of NTS and found no one guilty in this regard.

Sherzada Khan said that no evidence and proof of paper leakage by the NTS were found and all pre-medical tests conducted by the testing body have been cancelled. He added that various students who attended the test have challenged the decision of the Sindh government.

He said that his organisation had a secure and foolproof examination system in which leakage of papers was impossible. He claimed that no complaint had ever been filed against the NTS which authenticated the credibility of the organisation.

Replying to a question, he said that the FBR’s Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation (Inland Revenue) had recently raided and only seized the company’s tax records. However, he claimed that some other records and a few personal computers, not related to tax matters, had been ‘erroneously’ seized.

He said the NTS has filed a writ petition in the Islamabad High Court against the raid of FBR adding that NTS would ensure payment of all due tax claims as per requirements of the law.
