Gepco cuts 781 defaulters’ connections

 

SIALKOT :  The Gepco surveillance teams disconnected the electricity connections of 781 consumers including 590 domestic and 116 commercial in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.

According to Gepco officials, they were defaulter of Rs26.4 million and reluctant to deposit their prolonged pending arrears by neglecting the repeated recovery notices issued by the Gepco.

Meanwhile, the district administration affixed CCTV cameras in all the eight buses of the Govt. Special Education Centers in Sialkot district.

These CCTV cameras have been linked with internet/Wifi due to which the schools administration and even the parents could watch the safe transportation of their children in these buses. The step has been taken after the Nov 16,2017 nasty incident , in which the conductor had badly tortured some special students in the official bus of the Govt. Special Education Center Sambrial.
