CDA retrieves land occupied by shopping mall

Islamabad – The Enforcement Directorate of Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Friday conducted an anti-encroachment operation on land illegally occupied by the Centaurs Mall and removed encroachments completely from the plot adjacent to the Mall. 

During this operation, illegal occupation from the 15 acres land was vacated and retrieved the land completely from illegal occupants. During the operation conducted, constructions made adjacent to the plot along with nullah were removed. During this operation, 12 fabricated steel rooms, 12 cemented rooms were demolished.

The Centaurs Mall Administration was occupying this Estate Land since last eight years.

The CDA served issued notices several times to the administration of the shopping mall to remove these encroachments voluntarily but they did not bother. 

 However, on November 8, 2017, CDA conducted a gigantic operation against these encroachments while left over structures and constructions were removed during the operation conducted on Friday and retrieved CDA land completely from illegal occupants.

In the meanwhile, Mayor of Islamabad and Chairman CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz has said that the MCI is committed to eliminate all illegal and unauthorised construction and encroachments from the city.

He said through public notices, illegal occupants are being warned to remove encroachments voluntarily otherwise strict action would be taken.
